A couple weeks ago, Dave and I rented "Fahrenheit 9/11" to see what it was all about. Then last week we rented a film that was made to counter Moore's film called "FahrenHYPE 9/11." It was an excellent rebuttal to Moore's claims. Ever since then, Dave has been on this anti-Michael Moore kick and has spent lots of time creating some propaganda of his own. You can check out his work at this link:

Wonderful friends

I just wanted to write and tell all of our wonderful friends how much we appreciate and love you guys. We've received so much email the last few days and we are so thankful we have so many awesome friends.

I'm going to try to post some of wedding photos on the blog sometime soon for those who want to see them. Some of you don't know me (Leah) and some of you don't know my new hubby (Dave). And then there are those crazy people who know us well. You know who you are.

I think we are both finally getting all better now. You should have seen us the last week. Both of us coughing, sniffling, taking pills, blowing our noses, lounging around the house. Oh, we made a real cute pair. Dave said the weather change made him get sick. Thank God the weather is finally changing here. (It's almost November, good gravy!) We're down into the 70's now (high today 79) and perhaps I can wear long sleeves in a month or so. That's one thing I miss about going to school in Tennessee. It was really fall there. The colors of the leaves were so beautiful (in Florida, leaves go from green to brown and then die) and the weather was so pretty. Even in Pensacola it's nicer this time of year than it is in central Florida. I think, though, most Floridians aren't that concerned about the weather change. Most are just thankful hurricane season is coming to an end and there will be a few months of peace here.

Marriage = Sharing

Good afternoon all. Ahh, the joys of marriage. Dave is now a whole lot better, while I am now really sick. Whatever he had, it is apparent that now I have his ugly little germs. I was feeling really bad Friday night and yesterday, but Dave is taking care of me now, trying to get me better. Isn't this fun.

Dave is done with his first month of classes already. He starts a new schedule on Monday (for the next month). He only has one class, I think it's called Computers, Math, and the Internet. (He's not really looking forward to it.) The guys had another study night over here on Friday before their test. I left and went walking around the mall. Love it!

The job search may be finally coming to an end soon. It looks like I may be offered the position at Orlando Weddings; however, I need to find out about the salary and benefits before I decide. I'll keep you guys posted on how things are going.

For those who read the riddle I posted a while ago, ("What is the one thing common people see everyday, kings and queens rarely see, and God never sees?") the answer is: equality. It took me lots of questions and thinking when someone asked me. So there ya go. Now you can bug other people with the riddle.

We still haven't found a church to go to here. We've visted a few, and this morning, we were going to visit one we already had. But, we are both sick and Dave wanted to sleep in this morning. He kept hitting the alarm...sooo, needless to say, we were at the "Bedside Assembly" with Pastor Sheets and the Holy comforter. (Yeah, old joke from my Christian college days.) I really do hope we find a good church soon. I hate going to a different church every Sunday. Ohwell, maybe soon we'll find one where we fit.

My poor hubby...

Well hey again everyone. I have been trying to post some recent pics on here, but I'm giving up for the moment. When I have a little more patience, I will try again.

So my poor Dave has been sick all week. I think he's finally getting better, though. I feel so bad for him, coughing and all stuffy. He sounds awful. I've been pumping him full of all kinds of medicine, trying to get him better. I think his allergies got to him. But I've been babying him all week, so don't be feeling too bad for him.

I had an interview with Orlando Weddings on Tuesday for an Assistant Wedding Planner position. How exciting is that! Anyone who knows me knows I live for weddings! They seemed really interested and even called to ask if I wanted to come help set up on Friday for a wedding. I'm not sure about salary and benefits, so I don't know. There's also another opening as a Customer Service rep elsewhere, with good pay and benefits. So right now, things are up in the air. I'm just thanking God there are things finally opening up.

Last night, I got in an unpacking frenzy and emptied a bunch of boxes, went through stuff, organized things, and I feel so much better! I've been doing things in the house all day, cleaning, laundry...it feels so nice to have a clean, organized house. Dave and I are supposed to hang things on the walls tonight, that is, if he wakes up. I just can't wait until we can put those 'finishing touches' in our new apartment. Things like curtains, some new rugs, stuff for the walls, throw pillows. I just love decorating!

I'm gonna try again later to put some pics up of us painting Jason and Kristin's house, and our quick trip back after Ivan. If I can ever figure these things out!

Am I a night owl?

Good evening ya'll. I decided to post a little something because I can't go to sleep. Dave has been asleep for a little while now, and my mind was just not wanting to go nitey-nite.

We're supposed to go over to help our friends (Jason "Biggums" and Kristin) paint their new house tomorrow. But Dave has been feeling weird and I'm afraid he may be getting sick. (Secretly, I know he loves to be sick because he knows I'll take care of him and baby him.) :o) I hope he's not getting something. Now if he gets sick, so do I. Ah, sharing in marriage. He's having some friends over tomorrow night to study math problems. I'll be out paroosing the mall...yay me. I actually enjoy walking the mall by myself. It's relaxing and sort of stress relieving. While I was up at school, I would take an afternoon after classes and go to the mall for a few hours. I would somehow always end up at Barnes & Noble before I went home, though.

Okay, I'll leave you with a riddle for the night:

What is the ONE THING that common people see everyday, kings and queens rarely see, and God never sees?

I'll post the answer in a few days. Have a good night...

Can't figure this thing out...

Okay, a great big hello to all those out there reading this...all two of you. (Yes, Ian and John.) We would have been posting already, except for the fact we're trying to figure out how to put smaller pictures up with our posts. It's really annoying. Dave said the only way to put pictures on here and not take up the whole page is to put a link, which is annoying.

Anyway, life here in Orlando has been pretty dern boring. Not much to report. Dave is having a blast in classes, meeting new guys, talking about things he loves. He comes home and tells me all about what they discussed and what's going on. He meets with a few guys some days to go over group projects and such. Ya'll know him...it has to be all out if he's in it. I'm so happy for him, I really am. He's wanted to do this and now he's a part of it and I really am proud of him. As for me...well...um, yeah. I never imagined trying to get a job after college (when you have a degree) could be SO difficult! It's been a challenge and not really fun, but we keep praying (as well as my parents) that something will come along...soon. It's the same catch 22 as when you're trying to get your first job. They won't hire you because you don't have experience, yet if no one hires you, you can't get experience. Fun times, fun times.

We still haven't finished unpacking yet. We have our little spurts of energy and we'll go through a few boxes and hang some stuff and then it's gone. And so it goes. We'll get everything done eventually and then you guys will have to come see us! I was telling Dave last night how much I miss everyone. We really do miss hanging out with our friends and spending time with everyone. The two of us are so very blessed to have such wonderful and caring friends like you. We love each of you and we can't wait till we can see everyone again.
