Oh the craziness never ends...

I'm so sorry to all who have been checking on our blog for the last couple weeks. Life is hectic and crazy when you're working two jobs, trying to spend time each other and trying to keep on top of all those day-to-day house things. Oh. (Big sigh.) But all is good here. Dave and I don't have as much time together as we used to, but God is blessing us financially and we're thankful. Sacrifices are hard sometimes, but Dave and I value our time together so much.

Things are pretty much the same for us. I'm working, Dave's going to school and enjoying it. He's actually entered a 48-hour film festival (I think that's what it is) with some other guys. I'll ask him more about it, but I think it's basically, they give these groups of students an idea or a base concept, and they have 48 hours to write a story and film the whole thing. It's a cool idea...I told him to have fun with that. He's learning all about lighting and stuff (which I never fully understand). I'm just glad he's enjoying school and wanting to be there. I'm happy for him.

Next Saturday is our 8 month anniversary and I just cannot believe it. We only have four more months and then we're not newlyweds anymore! It still feels like it just happened. It's like I look back at our wedding pictures and everything is still so vivid and fresh in my memory. I truly found my dream come true when my Dave came into my life.

Okay, I'll stop making everyone sick now. We have a bunch of photos to post on here, so I'll try to get that soon for everyone. And again, we're so sorry for not keeping you more up-to-date. We love you guys and we hope all is well with our friends.

A quiet New Year

Dave and I rang in the new year just the two of us, watching the ball drop and drinking sparkling cider in our wedding toasting glasses. It was simple and nice. We began our first 'new year' together, just the two of us...partially because we wanted to do it that way and also because I was exhausted from working all week and just wanted to chill. So we enjoyed our first New Year together.

Classes are going again for Dave and he's happy about it. He's liking Full Sail and all the classes, so it's different this time when he has a break. This month his classes are Film History and Lighting. As you could probably guess, he's really excited about Film History. Oh yeah...I get to hear allll about the way they did it back then. (I'm so done with all the history and classes. I put my four years in.) It's okay...he's been so patient to listen to all my wedding talk. It's all about sharing.

Christmas is coming down eventually here. (We're trying for this week now.) We were going to take pictures and take everything down Sunday, but we ended up going to see A Series of Unfortunate Events at Universal City Walk. We had a nice evening out, walking and looking at all the different things to go to at Universal. The movie was good...it's a dark comedy with Jim Carrey. The best, though, was the little girl who talked in baby talk but had subtitles to translate. That was quite funny. It was nice to get out and spend some time together walking around and taking in everything. We plan to do that more often.
