"When are you going to update your blog??"
Okay, okay, okay! We're (more like, I'm) finally getting around to updating our precious little blog. I have been saying I need to update it for a couple months now, and now that pretty much all of our friends have asked us about it, I think it's time to let everyone know how our little world is.
To start off, a big CONGRATS to our friends, Jason (Biggums) and Kristen who are expecting their first BABY! Yay for them. I know they've been looking forward to this for a while, and we wish them the very best in the coming months and pray that there won't be any bumps along the way.
In a nutshell, life has been good the past couple months. I've adjusted to working full time now and I really like the people I work with. It makes it so much better when you have fun with the people you spend most of your week with. Dave started his seventh month of classes today (yay!) and he's still loving Full Sail. I can't believe he graduates in September...and then the next big step comes along. This last half of his year is going to be crazy, it seems. He had 'the calm before the storm' last month and soon he'll be doing some big projects and lots of stuff I don't really understand. He's so gifted...another group is filming a movie using Dave's script from Scriptwriting. So I'm sure there will be much more going on in the next five months.
As most of you know, we were home this past week! And we loved it! We had so much fun visiting with friends and family, sleeping in, relaxing, sleeping in, having no schedule...did I mention sleeping in? It was so nice to come home and have a week to actually relax without trying to cram everything into three days. We finally visited Harvest and saw sooo many friends that night. We drove to Perdido Key to see how it had changed. The last time we were there, it was just a few days before Ivan hit. And things have definitely changed since then. We saw the finished WHBR studio (which looks so great, thanks to those guys who worked so hard) and talked with Ian and John and everyone. We visited our friends Jason and Ellen and had so much fun, like always, with them. They're so much fun to be around. Oh yeah...I got my hair done...finally! It was so far beyond...it was bad. Jacob put in some great color and chopped away. Ahhh. We had Easter dinners with our families and had lots of great stuff. I enjoyed spending some time with family and actually having time to hang out. Dave and I drove around the beach, went to a great dinner with John and his little boys at Tre Fratelli's. We had so much fun with Ian and Teresa on Saturday when we drove out to Seaside. It's where the Truman Show was filmed and we had never been there, so we took a day and went. It is such a quaint, pretty little place to visit. You just have to visit to know what it's like. We ended up renting a four-person covered bike-carriage type thing which was really cool. That made it even better. We'll have pictures to post soon.
And we had time to just chill, which was so nice. We were so blessed to have that week to enjoy time together and with friends and family. Of course, my kitty Snuggles was just getting used to us being there and then we left again. I miss her already.
We have pictures to post, most of them from the Strawberry Festival in Plant City a few weeks ago. We'll try to get those on here soon for everyone. I hope this makes everyone a little happier now. I can't promise, but I will try to keep our little blog updated more often. One last thing...one month and a couple weeks until we celebrate our one year anniversary! I can't believe it's almost here already. I can't believe I've already spent almost a year married to the man of my dreams, building a home with him. God is definitely so good to us.
