The car is found

Last night about 11:45, we received a call from an officer saying that she had found Dave's car. It was a couple miles away at the back of another apartment complex parking lot. We went to pick it up and the car was fine, except for a few things. The passenger side window was smashed in (glass all over the car), the stereo had been ripped out, and Dave's precious CDs were missing. He's most upset about that. So they did the print check on the inside of the car last night and did the outside today. We are just soooo thankful to God that we just have the car and it's basically okay. He really does answer our prayers. We'll keep everyone updated as we time to write more about it. Dave also took some photos with a disposable camera and we'll try to post those soon for you. Thank you guys for your prayers...we'll keep you posted.

Please pray...

To all of friends who read our blog, please be in prayer for Dave and I right now. Between last night and this morning, Dave's car was either stolen or towed. We have no idea where it is. We don't have anything more to do right now other than wait and pray and pray more. There was a suspicious tow truck here around 4:30 a.m., but the company claims they did not tow anything from here. We've already filed a police report, I've made phone calls and asked neighbors if they saw or heard anything, so all there's left to do is pray. We love our friends and family so much, so if you could pass the word along to others who don't read the blog to say a prayer for us, we would be so thankful. We need wisdom to know what else we could do, and whoever took the car needs to be convicted about doing this. We love and appreciate each of you. And we know that everything is in God's hands, all we need to do is trust Him.

Thanksgiving is next week...

Well, it looks like we'll be leaving this Wednesday evening for Pensacola and will come back the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I'm glad about that because I'm wanting to see our friends and family (and my kitty Snuggles!) and visit with everyone again. I think we'll go drive around west Pensacola and see if we can get around Perdido. It will be surprising, I'm sure.

I had my last interview this morning with Bank of America and I felt that it went really well. I felt confident and comfortable...so we'll see what happens. There are still a few people to be interviewed as well. They said they really wanted to have a decision made by Tuesday or Wednesday, so hopefully it will be before the holiday.

We're planning on posting some photos of our new apartment on the blog soon, so everyone can see what it looks like and (for the ladies) how it's decorated and everything. We'll try to get those up for you to enjoy.

There's a street down here called Park Ave. and it is the coolest place to go. It's downtown (historical) Winter Park and it's the rich section of town. (We even saw a brand new Rolls Royce parked on the street.) It has brick streets, all kinds of exclusive shops and cafes, like Williams Sonoma, a Pottery Barn (in an old theatre), chocolatiers, a rose garden in a park. It even has white lights everywhere as you walk down the streets. It really is an amazing place to go and walk. Very quaint and romantic. Dave and I went this past Wednesday night and walked around, and we saved half of the street to come back to. We're going to go one day and take some pictures together around there. It's nice when you discover a great romantic place like that. You can go and just enjoy being with each other and enjoy everything around you.

Christmas, Christmas time is near...

I'm so glad it's almost Christmas time! I love this time of year, when the weather's changing, you begin to hear familiar music playing and see all kinds of cute decorations you want for your house. I love Christmas! This will be our first Christmas as husband and wife and it'll be really different. We shared last Christmas together, but this is different. How are we supposed to get things for each other and be surprised? I'm looking forward to having some traditions from each of our families, but I'm really excited about beginning our own traditions. And we'll christen the tree with our first ornament together. Okay, have I made you sick enough yet?

Dave got his new schedule yesterday for the next month and he has Screenwriting and Photography. Monday he'll be in class eight hours to make up for Thanksgiving. Poor Dave. But he's almost done with CMI, at least he'll have that boring class behind him. Right now, he's beside me playing a humorous video game called Oddworld. It's a little alien who's trying to escape from becoming some kind of food product, I think. It's kind of funny, in a sick sort of way.

Well, I'm going in for my last interview with Bank of America tomorrow at 8:15. After this, I'll find out whether they accepted me or not. I'm not really that worried. I know God's going to take care of us and He knows where I'm supposed to be. That's comforting. In the mean time, I'm loving being an assistant wedding coordinator. I feel like it's what I should be doing. After all, I've been reading Bride magazine since I was like, 15. It's just a shame that our wedding has come and gone. I miss planning and dreaming about my wedding. So then I suppose you'll all be invited to the soiree of the year when we renew our vows in a decade or two.

Okay, so it's been a while...

Okay, hi to all of our friends who may still be keeping up with us. It's been a while because things have been crazy for the last week or two and our little blog got bumped. So now you get to hear it all!

Class is pretty much the same for Dave. This is the last week he'll be in Computers, Math, and the Internet and he's pretty happy about that. At the bottom of this are photos of the projects he's done lately - the virtual computer he had to totally build and a fictitious magazine cover done in PhotoShop. Such a good little student.

Things have mostly been crazy for me. I accepted a position with Orlando Weddings as an Assistant Wedding Coordinator. (And I love it!) In this position, I will be the owner's assistant while being trained to move into the Wedding Coordinator position in a few months. So I'm waiting to hear back from Bank of America about a part time teller position. The position I'm in now is only part time for a while (even though I will get raises) but extra cash flow is always nice until then. Before I accepted the position with Orlando Weddings, I had completed an online assessment with Bank of America. I went through the entire process only to be told I did not meet the requirements. So I went ahead with Orlando Weddings. The second day with them, Bank of America called and said there had been a glitch in their system and I was one of the recommended ones. So I went for the interview. If things work out with them, I'm just not sure how the hours would work. But we'll see.

Thanksgiving is quickly coming and we're waiting to see how our schedules will be to know how long we have to visit with family and friends. And I realized today that Thanksgiving (Nov. 25th) will be one year ago that my Dave proposed to me in Seville Square park. I cannot believe how much has happened in one year. God had everything laid out for us. He's very cool with things like that. And we're still looking for a church down here. It's never fun to be the new visitor every Sunday in a different church. But as with everything else, we'll find where we fit here. Just a matter of when.

Our first halloween

Well, our first halloween is over. We only had one little girl. :o( It was the little girl who lives across the hall from us. She was so cute, she was like a little princess. So now we have a bunch of Nerds and Skittles gum to get rid of.

I'm so happy...we're finally making our apartment look more like a home. We've got curtains in the bedroom (they're beautiful!), the guest bath is decorated, we've been hanging things on the wall, and we just got our wedding enlargements and reprints to put in frames. (And we got a free lamp from our friends, Jason and Kristin, so now it looks even better!) It's starting to look really nice in here.

My parents are coming down next weekend to bring some furniture and stuff and take us out for a nice dinner. They're so great. It was so nice in college to have them come up and visit...that meant me and my closest friends were going to get treated to some eating out! Everyone loved it when parents came into town, for that reason.

Tomorrow I will be cleaning and waiting on a phone call about a job. I want to clean the apartment and get things straightened up before the weekend. I don't love cleaning, it's just, I love making the house look really nice and smell nice and clean. That's always a good feeling.

Dave is going to class and going to his labs, like a good student. I know he'll be glad when this month is over. The class this month is really boring and so is the instructor. Never a good combination. But he's doing so good, always studying and making sure he knows the material. He makes me proud.
